An AI that learned from real clicks wrote better ads than an AI that copied well-written ads.

The study. Researchers at Meta ran a 10-week test with 34,849 US advertisers on Facebook. They compared an AI that copied well-written ads with an AI that learned from real click data.

The finding. The AI that learned from clicks raised the click-through rate by 6.7%. The click-through rate is the share of people who click an ad after they see it. Advertisers also made 18.5% more ad versions with this AI.
